Types of Employment
- Full-Time: Jobs that require 40 hours or more/week.
- Internship: Work for free or little pay to learn a skill or get your foot in the door of an industry. An example is working for a newspaper for free over summer vacation to learn what the newspaper business is like.
- Apprenticeship: Offers a way to earn money while learning a skill. Examples are boilermakers, carpenters, electricians, and glaziers.
- Part-Time: Jobs that require less than 40 hours/week. A good idea for students or those with other commitments.
